Dr Jenny Säilävaara is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at Maynooth University, Ireland. Her research interests are mothering, embodiment, and equality. Dr Säilävaara has studied long-term breastfeeding in her PhD (2021, University of Jyväskylä, Finland) and is currently interested in infant feeding decisions and outcomes in different cultural and social contexts. Previously she was a member of a research team studying in-work poverty in Finland (2022-2023) and has published articles on different perspectives of mothering.
